HDR Imaging Library - Photomatix SDK 1.0

What is it?
The Photomatix SDK is a High Dynamic Range Imaging Library composed of:
- A Dynamic Link Library (DLL) containing 12 functions performing the features listed below
- The complete API (Application Programming Interface) documentation
- Two sample codes (command line C/C++ program) that show how to use the DLL for 10 of the functions provided
Note: This HDR library is intended for being used inside an existing application that already handles browsing, reading and writing image files. If you are rather interested in calling the functions of Photomatix Pro as a separate process from your application, please have a look at the command line version of Photomatix Pro.
What does it do?
The Photomatix SDK provides functions to:
- Merge and combine differently exposed images via Averaging or three modes of Exposure Blending
- Create 32-bit High Dynamic Range images from multiple exposures
- Align differently exposed photographs that are out-of-register
- Retrieve dynamic range and logarithmic histogram from an HDR image
- Converts 32-bit HDR into 8-bit LDR images with a basic tone mapping (note: this is not the Tone Mapping tool of Photomatix Pro)
- Remap the HDR image of a Mirror Ball into Latitude/Longitude format
- Read & write HDR images in Radiance RGBE format
Licensing
The Photomatix SDK is intended for internal use only. The Photomatix SDK Dynamic Link Library may not be integrated in any program or application that is sold or resold for profit, and/or distributed outside your organization or academic institution. If you are interested in redistributing the DLL, please contact us for a licensing proposal.
Please read the License Agreement before downloading.
Does it cost something?
The Averaging and HDR image creation, information, conversion, remapping and i/o functions are free of use.
The Align and Exposure Blending functions require to purchase a license key (the trial applies a watermark to images produced with those functions). The prices per functions are:
Align:  US$ 149
H&S Details - Auto:  US$ 179
H&S Details - Adjust:  US$ 179
H&S Details - 2 images:  US$ 99

For technical support, please see our support pages. If you have never used Photomatix Pro, we encourage you to try it before downloading the Photomatix SDK.
If there are other functions you would like to see included into the Photomatix SDK, please don't hesitate to submit a feature request.
