Step 2: Export Photos

The options in the top portion of the dialog box effect how Photomatix Pro processes your photos.

Photomatix Pro offers two types of processes: one is called Exposure Blending (or Exposure Fusion), the other is called HDR Tone Mapping. In this tutorial, we select the HDR Tone Mapping process.

If you wish to have Photomatix Pro automatically save the resulting image and re-import back it into the Lightroom library, check the box "Automatically re-import into Lightroom library". You can also specify the file name and format of the saved image.

If you rather prefer to choose the location where the resulting image will be saved, or to post-process it in Photoshop, then leave the "Automatically re-import into Lightroom library" box unchecked.

Finally, click Export. Lightroom will export the photos to Photomatix Pro, which will launch and process the photos according to the options you have chosen.
