Academic Pricing

HDRsoft offers 3 types of academic pricing to students and teachers who plan to use Photomatix for educational purposes:

Note: The academic pricing is not retroactive. You will need to get the instructions to order with the academic discount before purchasing the software.

Standard Academic Pricing

Available to university/college students and faculty members, giving a 60% discount off the price of Photomatix Pro or Photomatix Pro Plus Bundle.

If your university or college is in the US, you can have your eligibility for the discount verified automatically by the system of our partner SheerID.

If your university or college is outside the US, or if you cannot use the above automatic verification, please contact us at edu@hdrsoft.com and send us a scan or photograph of your student ID or faculty ID.

Note that it may take several business days before we reply to email requests for an academic discount. We prioritize requests for support over those for discounts, so we ask for and appreciate your patience.

Photography Student Pricing

Available to university/college students having photography (or other field involving HDR imaging) as major or minor, giving a 75% discount off the price of Photomatix Pro or Photomatix Pro Plus Bundle.

Please contact us at edu@hdrsoft.com and send us your student ID, as well as a document that proves you are a photography student (or student in a field involving HDR imaging). This could be a scan, photograph or screen shot of your class schedule, unofficial transcripts, a receipt for the course or some other similar document.

When replying with your documentation please try to limit the size of attachments to 1MB and use a standard email attachment format like JPEG or PDF.

Note that it may take several business days before we reply to email requests for an academic discount. We prioritize requests for support over those for discounts, so we ask for and appreciate your patience.

Photography Teacher License

If you are a teacher, lecturer, or trainer teaching photography or another subject involving HDR imaging, you are eligible for a complimentary license.

Please contact us at edu@hdrsoft.com and include a reference to the class(es) you are teaching such as a link to a webpage or scanned printed material.
