Our academic/educational pricing is offered to university students, lecturers, teachers or trainers who plan to use our software for educational purposes. We have different types of academic pricing:
- Photography student pricing:
This applies to university or college students having photography as major or minor. In this case, the discount is 75% off the price of Photomatix Pro or Photomatix Pro Plus. If this applies to you, please contact us as described for case 3 further down this page, and be sure to include documentation of your photography enrollment.
- Photography teacher license:
If you are a lecturer/teacher/trainer teaching photography, then you may be eligible for a free license. Please contact us as described for case 3 further down this page. Please include a reference to the class(es) you are teaching such as a link to a webpage or scanned printed material.
- Standard academic pricing: This applies to other types of teachers or university/college students. In this case, the discount is 60% off the price of Photomatix Pro or Photomatix Pro Plus. Please refer to cases 1 to 3 below to be sent the instructions to purchase our software at academic pricing.

Depending on the email address you have access to, there are three cases for being sent the instructions to purchase Photomatix Pro or Photomatix Pro Plus at academic pricing: |

Case 1: You are entitled to our standard academic pricing and have an email address with the extension ".edu" or similar academic extensions. In this case, you just need to enter this email address in the form below to automatically receive the instructions for purchasing with the academic discount at our reseller Plimus. (Note: some email servers seem to reject emails that are automatically generated - if you don't receive anything, please contact us directly to edu@hdrsoft.com). |

Case 2: You are entitled to our standard academic pricing and the email address of your academic institution does not include the ".edu" or ".ac" string. In this case, enter you email address in the form below and we will first manually check whether it refers to the site of an academic institutions before sending you the instructions for purchasing with the academic discount at our reseller Plimus.

Case 3:
You don't have an academic email address, or you are a teacher or student in photography.
In this case, we are requiring a scan of your faculty/student ID card. Photography teachers and students should send documentation of classes/enrollment.
If you don't have a scanner, sending us a photo of the document is fine too. Please send your eligibility document to: edu@hdrsoft.com.
