* One credit is charged each time you download an image created with the API.
The Photomatix API lets you integrate HDR merging and processing into your application.
The API includes:
Check the API documentation for more information and code samples.
How many credits does each operation cost?
One HDR credit is charged for each operation that downloads a file. This happens when:
Other operations such as uploading images do not incur any credit charges.
How do I know how many credits I have used?
You can query the API to return the amount of credits you used via the api.hdrsoft.com/usage call. See details in the API documentation.
I see the Standard plan starts with a zero payment. How does it work?
The monthly payment for the Standard plan has two components:
The Standard plan takes into account your usage, i.e. the number of credits you used during the billed month. Since that usage is only known once the billed period is completed, the per credit charge for the period, if any, can only be billed in arrears.
Though the fixed charge could be billed in advance (as it is for the Lite plan), it is billed in arrears as well, so that you pay it at the same time as you pay for any additional credit above your quota, instead of paying it separately.
How does the On-Demand plan work, and when do I get charged?
Credits you use with the On-Demand plan are charged monthly. You are charged on the same day each month, which is the day of the month when you subscribed to the On-Demand plan.
The monthly charge corresponds to the number of credits you used during the monthly billing period, i.e. the credits you used since the same day on the previous month. If you didn't use any credits during that monthly period, the charge will be nil.
How do I change the monthly credit quantity of my subscription?
You can change the amount of monthly HDR credits in your subscription by purchasing a new subscription for the new amount and canceling the old one.
The new subscription will give you a new API key that has the new number of credits on it.
Please contact our support team to cancel your old subscription.
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting our support team.
You don't have to provide a reason for canceling, but we would very much appreciate it if you do. Any information on what you expected from the Photomatix API but didn't get, or any other feedback, will help us improve our products.
If you are canceling a Lite subscription plan, your subscription won't renew but you can keep using any remaining credits in your subscription until the end of your current billing period.
If you are canceling a Standard or On-Demand subscription plan, your subscription won't renew and you will be charged for any credits you used between the start of your current billing period and the time of cancelation.
Where is my image data processed and stored, and for how long is it kept?
The images you send for processing with the Photomatix API, including the file names you specify, are sent to our servers located in the US, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The source and processed images are deleted within 10 minutes after you last access them on the server.
The file names may be logged and stored longer as part of our record keeping. You do not need to give the real file names of the files when uploading them, only the extension needs to be correct.
Where can I find the user license agreement for your API?
You can view the PhotomatixCL License Agreement in PDF format here.
